Smyth Industries Electrical Division is currently searching for an individual with Water Infrastructure Industry experience as an
Electrical Foreman to help enhance our current team. We provide full-service electrical, civil, manufacturing, engineering and general contracting services for the water and reclamation industry.
The ideal candidate will foster teamwork and create a positive work environment in a fast-paced industry, while helping our Arizona clients engineer, rehabilitate, manufacture and construct water distribution and treatment infrastructure.

In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in the water and reclamation industry by:Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Exhibit the ability to project materials needed to complete assigned task.
- Provide effective project communication, both orally and in writing.
- Complete nonroutine task as assigned.
- Manage installations by reading blueprints and learning where circuits, panel boards, and outlets need to be placed during construction projects; responsible for installing these electrical components and implementing the wiring that is necessary.
- Proficient with acquiring project materials needed to complete assigned task.
- Experienced with both electronic and written project documentation.
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
- Perform semi-skilled and skilled laboring duties related to installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
- Reassemble equipment, using hand tools.
- Ability to select tools to complete daily job tasks.
- Proficient in the use of powered conduit benders, forklift, trencher, basic hand tools to perform daily job functions: screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, cordless drills, hand operated saw, level, etc.
- Proficient in the installation of conduit (pipe or tubing), PVC, IMC, or rigid steel conduit underground or above ground.
- Proficient with wire terminations.
- Proficient with the use of test equipment such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, toners, and ammeters to check the circuits for proper connections, ensuring electrical compatibility and safety components.
- Install coaxial, fiber optics and ethernet.
- Ability to lead a team, complete project assigned tasks, while working under minimal supervision.
- Document actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis of the situation and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situation.
- Maintain, troubleshoot/repair electrical systems by replacing or installing components, wiring or devices.
