The Refrigeration Technician installs, inspects, repairs, and maintains food service, refrigeration, and support equipment.

• Four (4) years of experience in food service cooking and/or low temperature refrigeration equipment repair and maintenance, including electrical, gas, and plumbing installation and repair procedures.
• Completion of a recognized trade training program in a related field or equivalent.
• Knowledge of applicable County, State, Federal electrical, safety, plumbing, and mechanical codes.

  CFR Part 82, Subpart F Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification Type I or II.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to understand written/graphic and oral instructions.
• Any equivalent combination of experience, training, or education.

• Universal CFR certification.

• FBI fingerprint background check or submission of valid fingerprint card.
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.
• Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 75 lb lift test.
• AZ Department of Transportation (ADOT) medical certificate.
• MVReport showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as per governing policies.

• Pay range: $24.33 to $28.24/hour.

• Work Calendar: 12 months.
• Positions less than 30 hours/week are not eligible for district benefits.
