The Operator Telecom Construction Equipment can operate a variety of equipment used in installation, repair, and maintenance activities associated with underground construction or utilities, in a safe and effective manner.

- You will safely operate drill equipment on the job site, which may include but are not limited to Directional Drill, Backhoe/Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (moving equipment/haul water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
- You will restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the job site
- You will develop and maintain a bore schedule
- You will be responsible for site set‑up and clean‑up
- You will load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on truck
- You will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction
- You will set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers, and at times flag traffic
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be at least 18 years of age to operate company equipment or to drive company vehicles
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Must pass a background check and company drug screening
- Must attend and pass all required company training as needed
- May be required to work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or be on-call as needed
- May include working nights and holidays as needed
- May need to travel in state or overnight as necessary to meet business and job requirements
- Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position
- Experience running heavy equipment preferred
- Experience with drill set-up and design processes preferred
- Can work in all weather conditions
- Can lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed, with or without assistance
- Experienced with drilling equipment and understand their capabilities and limitations
- Proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities
- May be able to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions
- Can climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects
- May have previous construction or utility construction experience
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus near and/or far
- May be exposed to dust, fumes, airborne pathogens, toxic or corrosive chemicals, moving machinery parts; remote work may be required; long driving and sitting will be required
- Noise level in work environment is moderate

- Stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms to spaces both high and low; walk, climb, balance, crawl, crouch, lift, hold, and stoop during shifts
- Noise level is moderate
- Regular exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, rain, snow, sleet, dust, and adverse driving conditions such as wet or icy roads and fog
The Operator Telecom Construction Equipment hourly wage range is $20.00 - $35.00, depending on experience.
