Position DescriptionField Telecommunications technician needed to support Pipeline Operations, Terminals, and associated company assets.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Maintain and install telecommunications equipment throughout Tucson, AZ and surrounding sites.
- Work with a range of equipment including microwave radios, industrial wireless systems, SCADA, VSAT, CDMA, phone systems, digital multiplexer, LAN/WAN, VHF radios, etc.
- Apply problem‑solving skills to isolate outages and restore services.
- Document resolutions in a ticketing system.
- Interact professionally with employees, management, vendors, and customers.
- Plan work days for optimal efficiency, with limited supervision.
- Use company‑provided cell phone and be available during working and non‑working hours.
- Callout and unscheduled overtime is required and anticipated; may work non‑traditional hours.
- Maintain safety for self, assets, employees, and public.
- Show dependable attendance and high performance.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Travel required; a company vehicle assigned.
- High school diploma.
- Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology (preferred).
- BS in Technology or Engineering is a plus.
- A minimum of four years’ experience in electronic technology or telecommunications may be accepted as a degree substitute.
- Minimum of three years active work experience in telecommunications for Level II and higher.
- Solid training in electronics or thorough understanding via work experience.
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory record.
- TWIC required. Applicant must obtain or retain.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio).

- Position based in Tucson, AZ.
- Callout and unscheduled overtime required and anticipated.
- Travel required; company vehicle assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Good understanding of digital microwave communications, digital multiplexers, terminal servers, LAN/WAN, routers, and data acquisition systems.
- Certifications:
Cisco CCNA, Cisco IP Telephony, Nortel, NABER two‑way radio, NICET, FCC license.
- Position may perform other duties as assigned.
Successful candidate required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check after offer extended and prior to employment. This position is subject to random drug testing.
