Overview
We are Fellowship Square Tucson, a not-for-profit active senior community, seeking a professional, customer-service-oriented Security Supervisor to join our Christian Care Family. We are seeking a responsible individual to meet the needs of our seniors while preserving their dignity and quality of life.
This is a full-time position that involves high levels of customer service in a senior housing community. It offers an excellent opportunity to a customer service-minded, experienced Security Supervisor.
This role also serves to assist maintenance in assessing after-hours emergency calls.
Responsibilities- Responsibility includes training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Create departmental work schedule for security officers, ensuring adequate coverage on a 24/hour-7-day/week rotation.
- Create and maintain a training program for security officers.
- Work with Facilities Director in continuous development of department policy and procedures.
- Hold officers accountable to Christian Care and department policy and procedures.
- Delegate tasks to specific security officers to meet department operational needs.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment of the company's property.
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
- Act lawfully in response to unusual or suspicious persons or activity on the property.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences, reporting in detail any suspicious incidents.
- Patrol randomly or regularly buildings and perimeter.
- Monitor and control access to building entrances and gates.
- Perform data entry.
- Answer phones and direct calls accordingly.
- Contact emergency services as needed.
- Perform various minor maintenance services as needed.
- Minimum of HS diploma or GED. Valid AZ driver's license.
- Current CPR/1st Aid certification and fingerprint clearance card required or ability to acquire within two-weeks of employment.
- Minimum of two-years’ experience as a public safety officer or related field required. Prefer experience in working with older adults.
- Additional skills required include great observation, good judgment, common sense, and excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
- Strong customer service skills and computer experience a must.
