RESALE STORE ASSOCIATE / GENERAL STAFF
WORK STATUS: Full Time
HOURS: Monday - Saturday
MUST WORK THURSDAYS, FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS (absolutely no exceptions)
PAY: $15.45 per hour
JOB SUMMARYMain duties of the Store Associates include ringing up sales, bagging items, requesting price checks, honoring coupons, collecting payment and giving appropriate change. Responsible for counting the contents of cash register drawer at the end of each shift, maintaining receipts, records and withdrawals. Expectations including assisting customers and maintaining a professional appearance of self and the store.
The ideal candidate will be highly energetic and friendly. The right candidate will be committed to creating a professional, yet loving atmosphere and will desire to instruct and serve alongside staff and volunteers, to serve our recovery program, the community and each other. The Resale Store General Staff shall report to the Resale Store Assistant Manager for all resale store operations issues.
This position is a Full-time, non-exempt.

- MUST WORK REQUIRED HOURS Monday - Saturday. (MUST WORK THURSDAYS, FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS (absolutely no exceptions) Assist in the general operation and success of the resale store, including receiving and processing donations, as well as displaying merchandise.)
- Open and close resale store. Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, and-or weekends.
- Assist in accepting, sorting and pricing donations for resale according to store policy and procedures.
- Uphold the cash handling policy and properly execute the procedures.
- Assist management in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store.
- Be responsible for the positive image of the resale store.
- Assist management in maintaining proper inventories of retail merchandise in the resale store.
- Ensure the storage area is kept organized.
- Assist customer phone inquiries.
- On occasion may perform light sweeping and mopping.
- Uphold biblical standards in all facets of job performance.
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with co-workers members.
- Learn and follow the store’s policies and procedures and city, county and state requirements in regards to retail sales.
- Participate in in-service trainings.
- Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned or requested by management.
- Experience in retail management (1+ years) preferred.
- Have attention to detail skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, including being enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.
- Be able to multi-task and handle busy store while demonstrating a positive attitude to the public.
- A proven ability to effectively function in a multi-faceted agency in a teamwork manner.
- Have personal attitude, conduct and standards representing those qualities and values reflected in the ministry that employees, volunteers and recovery clients can respect and emulate.
- Successfully pass a background check.
- Be able to respect and work cooperatively with a variety of persons, including coworkers.
- Able to work well with ever changing priorities and/or situations. Have the ability to stay calm in tense situations and utilize common sense and logic.
- Prefer a high school diploma or equivalency diploma.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Successfully pass FBI fingerprint clearance check and procure a Fingerprint Clearance Card.
