: $15.25 – $18.00 per hour
Commission
: 2–8% on sales/transactions (average $2.18 extra per hour)

The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to provide stellar customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and assisting customers with sales, loans, and other transactions, while maintaining knowledge of a wide range of merchandise.

• Greets and interacts with all customers, developing rapport to recommend suitable financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise properly.
• Processes sales and loan transactions following company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in line with established policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborates with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training programs.
• Performs any additional duties as assigned.

• Willing to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of performing tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification if required.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve items from external storage areas.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work with customers and be team‑oriented.
• Multi‑tasking ability in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math proficiency.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work multiple locations and flexible retail schedule (including weekends and holidays).
• Computer literacy and point‑of‑sale (POS) system usage.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers may earn 2–8% based on gross profit of their performance. Further details are provided during the interview process.
