Position HighlightsThe Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine is seeking Research Technician I. This position assists and supports the Principal Investigator (PI) and other research staff with routine technical support on research projects. As part of the team, you will perform routine laboratory tasks and experiments, and record results. In addition, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, sanitation, and clean-up of lab equipment, instruments, and glassware.

Duties & Responsibilities- Prepare, clean, and sterilize instruments, glassware, and solutions.
- Assist PI and other laboratory staff with cell culture and setting up experiments.
- With supervision, perform basic or routine experiments and tests following the instructions, procedures, and guidance from the PI or other senior laboratory staff.
- Assist the PI and other senior staff in the preparation of technical reports and protocols.
- Record results of studies, maintain experimental data, analyze data, and track results.
- Provide basic administrative support to research staff on projects.
- May coordinate and order lab supplies
- Ensure compliance with University regulations and trainings.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to all safety policies.
- Self-motivation, a good work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and an ability to work independently are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
- Prior work experience not required.
