Description
The primary purpose of our Veterinary Student Externship is to provide a hands‑on learning experience for 3rd and 4th year students enrolled in a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. The program typically runs in 2‑week blocks at our hospital. We believe that students with an open mind and willingness to learn will benefit most from the externship.
Department: Urgent Vet Hospitals
Location: Urgent Vet - Tucson
Key Responsibilities- Perform inpatient and outpatient medical care under direct supervision of veterinary staff.
- Conduct in‑house diagnostic tests (hematology, chemistry, radiology) competently.
- Provide routine client education.
- Assist in surgical procedures.
Participants must currently be enrolled in an AVMA‑accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program.
