Department - Parks and Recreation
Be part of a team that supports after-school, youth and active adult recreation programs at Littletown Community Center. Responsibilities include assisting with daily operation of recreational activities (sports, crafts, games), maintaining facility cleanliness, providing information to the public about programs, handling cash transactions and preparing reports, and supporting various recreational events and activities.
Essential Functions- Assists in overseeing recreation activities (e.g., sports, dance, crafts, table games)
- Assists in operation of leagues, tournaments, meets, and programmed activities
- Interprets and explains game rules; referees and oversees ball games
- Keeps recreation facility clean and orderly
- Issues receipts; prepares cash reports
- Provides information to the public regarding facilities and programs
- Maintains projected equipment and may show movies or read stories to children
- Maintains attendance and other records and prepares reports
Any combination of training and experience which demonstrates the minimum knowledge and skills. Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with children, youth, teens, and/or adults in a recreational, social services, coaching, or educational setting
- Experience with/knowledge of arts and crafts, theater, music, and/or fine arts
- Experience with/knowledge of sports, playground, and group games
Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications. The hiring authority will interview and select from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Additional assessments/testing may be required as part of the process.

Certifications:
Valid driver license is required at time of application. Valid AZ driver license required at time of appointment. Successful applicant will be subject to a 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review. - Failure to obtain and maintain required licenses shall be grounds for termination.
- Any offer is contingent upon Fleet Services’ review and approval of driving record.
- Pre-employment background checks required. Post-offer, pre-employment background screening to verify work history, education, and criminal conviction history. A prior conviction will not automatically disqualify.
