We’re excited to announce an outstanding career opportunity for a Player Assistant at Starr Pass Golf Club in beautiful Tucson, Arizona.

While the game of golf may be played independently, the full experience is supported by a dedicated team behind the scenes. The Player Assistant plays a key role in enhancing that experience—managing the many details that ensure a seamless and enjoyable round. From golf carts and range balls to the overall presentation of the clubhouse and surrounding facilities, your efforts contribute directly to the impression we make on every guest.

Responsibilities- Rental Golf Cart fleet management – cleaning, storing, and rotating.
- Driving range tee and range ball management – ensuring enough clean range balls for members and guests.
- Keeping the appearance of the teeing area of the driving range tidy.
- Maintaining cleanliness and functionality of all areas both front of the house and back of the house.
- Keeping the club house, parking lot, and interior tidy to provide a clean facility impression.
- Time management to complete all duties during your shift before dark.
- Keeping cart barn tidy, hazard-free workspace suitable for productive work.
- Keeping the rental club room tidy for functions and perception.
- Greeting players as they return from play, assisting them with their golf bags, cleaning their clubs, and returning clubs to storage if applicable.
- Other duties as needed or required.
- This role will report and be responsible to the Golf Shop Manager on Duty, and ultimately to the Head Golf Professional.
- May be asked to help train newly hired employees on the duties of this particular role.
- May be asked to rotate the primary duty of the range captain on clean pick nights to get all range balls picked so grass can be mowed the following morning.
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license or driver’s permit.
- Weekend and evening work required.
- Pleasant personality.
- Flexible with work schedule.
- Knowledge of property and surrounding area.
- Previous golf course work experience a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of golf as a player and/or caddie.
- Must be able to constantly stand, walk, bend over, reach, crouch, kneel, balance, push, and pull.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work outside in excessive heat & cold with humidity/dampness.
- Must be able to work around motorized equipment/machinery with loud noise/vibrations.
- Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces above ground.
- Must be able to work with chemicals/detergents/cleaners.
