Heartstrings Pet Hospice is a privately owned, rapidly growing in‑home euthanasia and end‑of‑life care practice founded on compassion, dignity, and respect.
We are hiring DVM Team Members in Tucson, AZ and surrounding areas.
As an Associate Veterinarian you will provide compassionate, gentle in‑home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care. You will work independently in the field while being fully supported by a collaborative medical leadership team, dedicated Veterinary Care Specialists (VCS), and strong operational infrastructure. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, emotional fulfillment, and a low‑stress environment.

- Experience in hospice, palliative care, or Fear‑Free certification is a plus but not required (comprehensive training provided)
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS) from an accredited veterinary school
- Active (or ability to obtain) veterinary license in the state of practice
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Availability to work some weekends as part of a rotating schedule
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Subject to background check and motor‑vehicle‑record check post‑hire
- Provide in‑home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets
- Guide families in making end‑of‑life decisions for their pets
- Build relationships with local veterinary clinics as an extension of their care
