Schedule

Shift: 05:45 - 18:30, including on-call responsibilities.

Job Description

The PACU Registered Nurse is accountable for providing care to Post Anesthesia Care Unit patients. This position involves collaboration with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Surgical staff, and other personnel to ensure safe delivery of care through the use of the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in delivering patient care.
• Anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PACU setting.
• Active Arizona RN License.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
