Position: Full-Time Hospice RN – Nights & Weekend Coverage (Salaried)

Role Description

Sunset Hospice is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to serve in a dedicated night and weekend role, providing calm, confident clinical support when patients and families need it most. This full-time salaried position ensures continuity of care after hours through triage, symptom management, on-call visits as needed, and supportive presence during urgent or end-of-life moments. The RN functions with autonomy and sound clinical judgment while embodying our commitment to dignity, comfort, and honoring each individual’s unique journey.

This role is ideal for a hospice nurse who feels called to provide steady leadership, reassurance, and compassionate care during vulnerable and sacred hours.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in patient care, direct nursing interventions, and end-of-life symptom management
  • Strong skills in communication, empathy, and emotional support for patients and families
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and coordinate care plans
  • Organizational skills, timeliness, and maintaining accurate medical records
  • Active RN license in the state of Arizona
  • Previous hospice or palliative care experience is a plus, though not required
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
