7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3 x 12-hour shifts)

Weekends: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / MS-Telemetry assignment in Tucson, Arizona. This unit functions as a step-down from ICU, requiring strong cardiac and critical-thinking skills to safely manage higher-acuity patients.

Clinical Focus:

• Step-down level care from ICU

• Management of cardiac drips

• Familiarity with TAVRs, Watchman devices, and Mitra Clip procedures

• MS/Telemetry patient population

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies

• Demonstrate clinical judgment, leadership, and critical thinking

• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures

• Administer medications and perform patient testing within RN scope of practice

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and self-care

• Delegate and supervise patient care activities appropriately

• Document care accurately in the EMR system

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of PCU / Telemetry RN experience

• Active Arizona RN license

• BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Experience with cardiac drips and step-down level acuity

• EMR:
Cerner

Education:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
