Job Summary
Spectrum Dialysis is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Sub-Acute dialysis team in Tucson, Arizona. This role focuses on providing high-quality dialysis care to patients in a sub-acute setting, including skilled nursing facilities and long-term care environments. The RN will be responsible for initiating and monitoring dialysis treatments, managing patient care plans, and ensuring compliance with clinical and safety standards in collaboration with facility staff and physicians.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, adaptability to different care environments, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
Qualifications- Minimum one (1) year of recent experience in chronic outpatient or sub-acute dialysis (required)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN license (required)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required)
- Proficiency in dialysis machine setup, treatment initiation/termination, and patient monitoring
- Ability to work independently in skilled nursing and sub-acute care settings
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Perform pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis assessments and document findings accurately
- Initiate and monitor dialysis treatments according to physician orders and protocols
- Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate medication records
Monitor vascular access sites and respond promptly to complications - Interpret lab results and collaborate with physicians to adjust care plans
- Educate patients and facility staff on dialysis procedures and infection control
- Ensure dialysis equipment is functioning properly and safely
- Maintain inventory of supplies and coordinate delivery for sub-acute locations
- Communicate effectively with facility staff and interdisciplinary teams
- Uphold infection control standards and universal precautions at all times
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient health information
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or non-compliance promptly
- Support and enforce clinic and facility policies for staff, patients, and visitors
- Demonstrate empathy and professionalism in all patient interactions
Participate in ongoing training and evaluation of new staff
