Position Summary

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education:

    Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • License &

    Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
    • Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to obtain Arizona license within 30 days
Preferred Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Certifications:
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or other relevant certifications as required by department
Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans; record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
  • Conduct systematic assessment including physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.

    • Focused assessment based on patient condition, setting, and population
  • Identify problems and collaborate with the team to set measurable short‑ and long‑range goals in the patient’s care plan.
  • Establish daily goals with patients and family, formulate a plan of care, and plan for transition or discharge.
  • Implement nursing care according to the care plan; ensure continuity of care during hospitalization and in preparation for discharge.
  • Ensure patient safety, administer medication, provide ordered treatments, educate patients/families, and document all care in the healthcare record.
  • Continuously evaluate patient status and effectiveness of care; modify the plan as needed.
  • Coordinate actions with patients, families, and the healthcare team to manage timing and effectiveness of care from admission to discharge.
  • Delegate, supervise, and prioritize tasks.
  • Bonus:
    Up to $7,500 based on eligibility.
