Position Information
The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for patient care in the operating room. As a member of the surgical team, the RN works with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, OR Technicians, and other personnel to provide patient care according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, regulatory standards, physician orders, and hospital policies. Responsibilities include ensuring supplies, case timeliness, communication with families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting during surgeries, and supervising personnel delivering patient care.
Shift: Day shift 4x10's )
Requirements:
- BLS certification
- Experience with robotics, General Surgery, GYN, Urology
- Circulating experience
- Availability for call shifts
