Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implements and monitors patient care plans; monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well‑coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• Uses a systematic, dynamic approach to collect and analyze data about a patient, including physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
• Conducts initial assessment, re‑assessment, and focused assessment based on patient condition, setting, and population.
• Identifies problems and plans: sets measurable, achievable short‑ and long‑range goals with patient and family.
• Establishes daily goals, formulates a plan of care, and manages transition or discharge planning.
• Implements care: ensures patient safety, administers medication, provides ordered treatments, educates patient/family, and documents all nursing care in the healthcare record.
• Evaluates effectiveness of nursing care continuously and modifies the care plan as needed.
• Coordinates care: manages sequencing, timing, and effectiveness of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Delegates, supervises, and prioritizes tasks.

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
• Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license, and ability to become Arizona licensed within 30 days

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or other relevant certifications
