PositionSummary
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities- Implements and monitors patient care plans; monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well‑coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Uses a systematic, dynamic approach to collect and analyze data about a patient, including physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
- Conducts initial assessment, re‑assessment, and focused assessment based on patient condition, setting, and population.
- Identifies problems and plans: sets measurable, achievable short‑ and long‑range goals with patient and family.
- Establishes daily goals, formulates a plan of care, and manages transition or discharge planning.
- Implements care: ensures patient safety, administers medication, provides ordered treatments, educates patient/family, and documents all nursing care in the healthcare record.
- Evaluates effectiveness of nursing care continuously and modifies the care plan as needed.
- Coordinates care: manages sequencing, timing, and effectiveness of patient care from admission to discharge.

- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license, and ability to become Arizona licensed within 30 days
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or other relevant certifications
