Progressive Care Unit Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours scheduled with 24 hours guaranteed. On-call schedule to be determined by the facility.

Job Description

The Progressive Care Unit Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients in the PCU setting. This role requires a strong understanding of managing patients who are critically ill or require continuous cardiac monitoring and intervention.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a minimum of 24 months of current Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
• Active Arizona or Compact nursing license.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Flu vaccination status must be included in submission notes.
• No violations or hits on nursing license as indicated by Nursys at the time of submission.
