Responsibilities- Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Collects and analyzes data about patients (physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors).
- Uses a systematic, dynamic approach to assessment and planning.
- Sets measurable and attainable short‑ and long‑range goals in collaboration with patients and families.
- Documents care plans and updates them as needed.
- Ensures patient safety, administers medications and ordered treatments, provides nursing care.
- Educates patients and families.
- Coordinates care including delegation, supervision, and prioritization.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona licensed within 30 days.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or other certifications required by department.
