Infusion Nurse Practitioner; PRN

Metro Infusion Center (Affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner for supervision and administration of infusion therapy on a PRN basis to work at the clinic located in Tucson, AZ
.

• Flexible schedule
• $80/hour (guarantee of 4 hours)

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
• Nurse Practitioner experience, preferably in an infusion related setting
• Chemo experience is preferred, but not required
• Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19

• Place and maintain peripheral IV catheters for infusion therapy needs with ongoing assessment of IV site
• Prepare medication for IV administration as ordered
• Administer IV therapy via electronic pump with troubleshooting of pump alarms and/or administration via gravity/dial‑a‑flow tubing
• Document infusion charting and patient message(s) in EMR system
• Address patient questions or concerns related to adverse effects/side effects, diagnosis, treatment within scope of Mid‑level provider
• Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs establishing priorities
• Monitor safety and effectiveness of environment and equipment
• Participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with facility
• Agree to cover any clinic as needed per direction of Manager of Clinical Operations
• Support professional practice by observing nursing standards, state and local laws, and MIDC policy
• Other duties and tasks as assigned
