Tucson Mennonite Voluntary Service (Tucson

MVS) is a faith-based nonprofit rooted in Mennonite Church USA. Tucson MVS partners with area nonprofits and community-based organizations to serve our community’s needs and work toward social justice by pairing young adults with work experiences. This transformative experience is designed to walk alongside you during a time of change and uncertainty, helping you discern in your vocational and spiritual journeys.

Becoming a fellow of Tucson

MVS requires a willingness to engage in anti-racist and compassionate social justice practice, learning more about what living a life of service means for you. As a Fellow, you will explore what it means to live your values in the world, challenging racism, inequality, and environmental degradation, all while sustaining your spirit and developing meaningful relationships. This is a program of personal, professional, and spiritual growth rooted in social justice values;

as such, we welcome young adults grounded in any faith tradition, including no faith tradition, to explore and discern your individual calling, as you live together in intentional community.

Program Details
  • Program dates run August 29, 2026 – July 30 2027.
  • All housing, food, and transportation costs are covered. Fellows share housing in a spacious house in Tucson, AZ.
  • Fellows engage in 32 hours of work a week at Tucson, AZ nonprofit partners. Past partners have included Watershed Management Group, Community Home Repair Project of Arizona, Literacy Connects, Florence Immigration and Refugee Rights Project, Casa Alitas Immigration Shelter, and more. Site assignments will be discerned by the Tucson

    MVS program coordinator with input from participants.
