PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading organization in the manufacturing industry to hire a skilled Electronics Circuit Card Rework – Test & Troubleshooting Technician for the Advanced Controls Department

In this role, you will support the repair, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electronic circuit card assemblies and aircraft components. Your technical expertise will help ensure products meet strict quality and regulatory standards, including those required by FAA repair operations. This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys solving technical problems, working with precision electronics, and contributing to high-quality production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
WhatYou’ll Do Day-to-Day
As an Electronics Circuit Card Rework and Troubleshooting Technician, you will work on complex electronic assemblies and provide technical support to manufacturing operations. Responsibilities may include:
Circuit Card Rework and RepairPerform assembly, disassembly, analysis, repair, rework, reassembly, and testing of aircraft components and circuit card assemblies
Troubleshoot and repair products according to established procedures and regulatory standards
Recommend corrective actions required to return components to service in compliance with FAA and other regulatory requirements
Conduct in-circuit and functional testing using automated test equipment
Analyze failures and identify root causes of component or assembly issues
Inspect and verify product performance following repair or rework
Perform manual assembly and disassembly of electronic assemblies
Conduct precision hand soldering and operate automated assembly equipment
Perform machine setups, feeder repairs, and basic preventative maintenance on production equipment
Identify and resolve issues within the board assembly process or component performance
Ensure adherence to soldering specifications, product quality standards, and SMT processing procedures
Maintain accurate documentation and records in company systems
Provide guidance and demonstrate work methods to new employees when needed
Collaborate with supervisors, technicians, and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues
Communicate technical findings and recommendations to internal teams
High school diploma with additional technical coursework, or equivalent combination of education and experience
4–5 years of relevant experience in electronics manufacturing, circuit card assembly, or repair
Required site-specific technical certifications as defined by operations
Strong understanding of circuit board assembly processes and product workflow
Experience with
hand soldering, electronic assembly, and automated test equipmentAbility to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair complex electronic assemblies
Knowledge of soldering specifications and SMT processing systems
Ability to set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain assembly tools and soldering equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
Basic proficiency with computer applications such as Word, Excel, and documentation systems
Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments such as aerospace or aviation
Knowledge of in-circuit and functional test fixturing
Advanced knowledge of manufacturing systems and process flow
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across production teams
Experience helping guide or train technicians within production environments
