Special Packager

Overview

AGM's Special Packager is responsible for preparing custom and specialized packaging solutions to ensure products are protected, compliant, and shipment-ready. This role involves building and packing crates and containers for sensitive or high-value items while following detailed work instructions, safety standards, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced in industrial or manufacturing environments, with a strong understanding of packaging materials, tools, and damage-prevention techniques.

• Reads work assignments with minimal supervision and packages all AGM products per AGM's and customers packaging specifications.
• Operates required machinery and makes minor adjustments when needed.
• Informs AGM's Production Supervisor of any maintenance or supply needs for the department.
• Meets or exceeds pars on a regular basis.
• Is responsible for asking the Special Packaging Line Supervisor if there is any problem with using the materials that have been issued.
• Completes all paperwork accurately in accordance with AGM's and customers' specifications.
• Keeps work area clean; reports or corrects any unsafe condition in a timely manner.
• Assists with production work as necessary in the Valve and Desiccator departments.

In addition to Special Packaging responsibilities, this role offers exposure to other Production departments, such as Valve and Desiccator Assembly, providing valuable cross-training opportunities. AGM also encourages internal growth with potential pathways into other areas of the organization, in addition to continuing education through college tuition reimbursement.
