Skilled Machine Operator

Overview

The SKILLED MACHINE OPERATOR is a critical part of the production team to achieve day-to-day safety, quality and production goals. Is responsible for safety and housekeeping for the respective work areas. Other responsibilities include quality checks and production reporting in company systems. Assists in cycle counting and resolution of inventory issues. Can perform Production Machine Operator roles and requirements. Trains, monitors and coordinates the work of Assemblers and Operators.

• Maintains and controls a production supply inventory.
• Completes first article inspections.
• Leads cycle counts on production floor.
• Keeps track and controls of production documentation.
• Follows and reports production status hour per hour.
• Responsible for the complete manufacturing process, including monitoring raw material availability and inventories.
• Ensure safety and 5S standards are being followed.
• Records production and quality data.
• Trains, monitors and coordinates production associates.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Leads special activities and reworks.

• Safety Conscious
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, inventory reports
• Microsoft Office Computer Skills (Excel, Word, Mail)
• Enthusiastic and self-starter
• Excellent team player
• Excellent leadership skills

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Basic computer knowledge (People Soft/MRP Systems)
• Knowledge in Injection Molding Machines, Quality, Manufacturing and 5S
• Enthusiastic, hardworking and have a can-do attitude
• Technical degree or equivalent
• High School Diploma or equivalent
