Raytheon is seeking an experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) in support of the Air Dominance Portfolio located in Tucson, AZ. This Material Program Manager (MPM) role is responsible for managing supply chain tasks in support of production, depot and sustainment contracts. As an MPM, you will be the liaison between the program and the supply base, working to ensure material requirements are met for a franchise production program.
Additionally, the candidate will own relationships across several critical suppliers and/or International Partners. The candidate should have demonstrated program management skills and will be directly accountable for ensuring overall program execution of materials management in support of our customer.
The candidate must also have financial acumen and experience with the management of EACs. They will ensure program success to cost/schedule/quality and manage supplier performance in meeting program needs. To be successful, the candidate must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management, including supplier management.
WhatYou Will Do
- Ownership of performance across both domestic and international supply bases to include performance, quality, affordability, and delivery
- Develop and execute strategies to perform and meet the Program’s needs and requirements
- Lead robust and challenging negotiations across the supplier base to meet the Program objectives
- Lead by influence in a matrixed organization
- Have frequent engagement with PMO and our Customer through execution of the contract
- Provide accurate forecasting and realization of sales and additional financial metrics
- Creates, manages, and executes MPS (Material Program Strategy and the MPP (Material Program Plan) to enable successful execution of program competitiveness and performance; from the front end of the business through contract closure.
- Monitoring and proactively addressing performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS.
- Collaborating with other programs to maximize efficiency of program execution including commonality.
- Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- Experience in supply chain and related systems, procurement, MRP, receiving, cost estimating, and/or finance
- Experience with supplier management and/or subcontract management
- Material sales forecasting experience
- Experience negotiating contracts
- Experience with Microsoft Office software applications (Word, PowerPoint, and/or Excel including Pivot Tables)
- Prior work experience with Earned Value Management
