Job Description Position DescriptionThe Strategy & Process Program Manager is engaged in fostering a process‑aligned organization, developing and implementing continuous improvement programs. The Program Manager utilizes metrics to quantify incremental improvement, leads a collaborative prioritization process based on expected benefits, and reports activities related to measuring the performance of installed processes.
- Program Manager I – Assists and supports leadership in fostering a process‑aligned organization.
- Program Manager II – Co‑leads with leadership in fostering a process‑aligned organization.
- Program Manager III – Leads the development and implementation of continuous improvement programs.
- Lead process evaluations to develop innovative, cost‑effective improvements, with metrics to track progress and quantify results.
- Develop key performance metrics and dashboards that enable good business decisions.
- Lead benchmarking efforts, including data collection, validation, presentation, evaluation of results, and implementation of improvements.
- Proactively recognize, plan, and act on the need for innovation and improvement; help groups overcome resistance to change and set expectations and targets.
- Develop and implement strategy in support of company and organizational objectives.
- Ensure leaders have established work plans that support department and company goals and objectives.
- Develop working relationships with customers and business partners to coordinate operations and support goals.
- Support and communicate goals, objectives, vision, and values.
- Serve as key budget resource and guide; assist leadership with developing budgets and explaining variances.
- May supervise, provide guidance, or direct the work of others.
- This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and related policies.
(Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.)
Program Manager I Qualifications- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong mathematical background and experience with statistics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and use of statistical functions and graphing in Excel.
- Experience with formal process improvement programs preferred (e.g., Six Sigma, 4 Disciplines of Execution, Theory of Constraints).
