Department - County Attorney

• This recruitment is to establish a register for current and future Attorney I - Unclassified vacancies serving all levels/assignments in the Criminal and Civil Divisions of the Pima County Attorney's Office.

Applicants must submit a resume and writing sample with their application; applications without these will be considered incomplete. A cover letter is also recommended.

• Job Type: Unclassified / Classified: 3002 - Attorney II

• Salary Range: $91,201 - $173,282 annually

The salary offer will consider skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.

• Prosecutes or defends complex criminal or civil cases, manages demanding caseloads, and represents County departments in litigation and administrative matters.
• Prepares legal documents, provides legal opinions, engages in negotiations, and conducts trials and appeals.
• Researches legal issues, reviews investigations, and upholds professional responsibility standards.

• Juris Doctorate and five (5) years of relevant legal experience in prosecution, defense, or civil law.
