IT Hardware Installation Technician​/PC Tech

IT Hardware Installation Technician - POS Conversion Project (Manual provided for installation)

* Experience needed: 1-3 years of experience or even IT Schooling experience/internships could suffice

* * POS System Conversion:
* Perform onsite conversions of CSP POS systems to Western Union Retail OS across Kroger locations.

* * Hardware Installation:
* Remove legacy peripherals and install new devices including signature pads, card readers, printers, Dell Micro PCs, and accessories

* * PC Imaging & Configuration:
* Reimage PCs using provided USB keys and complete required configuration ("Who Am I" process).

* * Cabling & Connectivity:
* Properly connect and cable all devices according to cusomter and project standards.

* * Testing & Validation:
* Complete post-installation checks, printer tests, system validation, and confirm software functionality.

* * Store Coordination:
* Check in with store management, minimize business disruption, and obtain final signoff.

* * Documentation & Reporting:
* Capture before/after photos, submit installation results, and maintain accurate hardware records.

* * Professional Standards:
* Follow store access protocols, maintain a clean workspace, and communicate professionally.

Physical Requirements:

* Travel daily to assigned stores in the region, transport equipment, ship deinstalled hardware, and lift/move POS equipment as needed.

* Pay and Benefits
* The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
