Overview

Tesla is seeking a Senior Network Operations Engineer to support and scale the global infrastructure powering our manufacturing plants, charging networks, and connected vehicle platforms. This role is central to maintaining resilient, high-performance telecom and data networks that enable real-time operations across multiple continents.

You will oversee the health and stability of mission-critical network systems, ensuring seamless connectivity between production facilities, cloud platforms, and field operations. In an environment where milliseconds matter, you’ll detect anomalies early, prevent cascading failures, and implement proactive optimizations that strengthen system reliability.

• Monitor and manage enterprise-scale network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and WAN environments.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and execute corrective actions to restore services quickly and permanently.
• Coordinate firmware upgrades, hardware deployments, and infrastructure expansions with minimal operational disruption.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to reinforce network defenses and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Develop automation scripts and monitoring enhancements to improve observability and reduce manual intervention.

• Proven experience managing large-scale telecom or enterprise network environments.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and network security principles.
• Hands-on expertise with enterprise-grade networking equipment and monitoring tools.
• Ability to remain analytical and composed during high-impact incidents.
• Clear communication skills with the capacity to translate technical findings into actionable insights.
