** Role Overview:
** RTX is seeking a Principal Linux Administrator to support a highly virtualized Enterprise infrastructure with a focus on Linux-based systems. The role involves working under the supervision of technical team leaders in collaboration with team members across multiple sites.

This position is ideal for candidates with specialized expertise in Linux system administration, proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible, and a strong commitment to fostering collaboration in dynamic, high-security environments. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to implement automation solutions, optimize system performance, and ensure the reliability and security of Linux systems in a mission-critical setting.
** This role is onsite for Tucson, AZ, Dallas, TX, or El Segundo, CA. It requires an active Secret clearance in order to be considered.

* What You Will Do:

*** Provide support for on-premises cloud environments, including both Linux and Windows operating systems, with a focus on automation and system optimization.
* Manage and maintain on-premises Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments.
* Develop, deploy, and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline system administration tasks, including provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring.
* Deliver CDS services within the assigned technology domain across various security levels and IT environments as required.
* Provide timely and effective customer support for service requests, incident resolution, and operational troubleshooting.
* Support the deployment, transition, and release activities for newly developed on-premises cloud services and CDS solutions.
** Qualifications You Must Have:
*** Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 5 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 3 years experience.
* Experience supporting Linux operating systems in enterprise environments.
* Experience managing VMWare virtual environments.
* Certification:
Existing DoD 8570 security certification (e.g., Security X, Security+, CISSP), or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of starting.
