Global Project Manager – Roche
Join Roche as a Global Project Manager where you’ll play a pivotal role in optimized product delivery across a range of projects from simple to complex. You will translate ideas into products, harness both Agile and traditional methodology, and enable the organization to respond swiftly to changing business needs while maintaining quality, budget, and timelines.

Responsibilities- Own project/program/product structures for Companion Diagnostics (CDx) product development and care activities including communication management, timelines, resource and budget plans, progress and cost control, and risk management.
- Create, coordinate, and maintain integrated project plans with dependencies, resources and budgets, ensuring team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Own and drive integrated project plans, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and budgets across teams.
- Execute project management processes, guide milestone reviews, capacity & performance reviews, and lead improvement initiatives based on best practices.
- Select and apply agile and hybrid methodologies, coaching teams in project methodology and Agile practices, and working with non‑Agile functions when required.
- Establish, measure and report KPIs, standard metrics, OKRs or OBPs to enable teams to assess and improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Act as a trusted advisor with a 360° view to support project/product teams and the broader organization in holistic planning, risk management, scenario creation and critical path analysis.
- Lead project team meetings and promote knowledge sharing between teams and sub‑chapters to enhance delivery.
- Identify project risks, gaps or bottlenecks, propose corrective actions and keep stakeholders informed.
- Manage project/product team information for decision‑making, provide high‑level planning data for scenario analysis and portfolio decisions, and serve as Agile Program Manager where applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Life Sciences).
- 4 years full‑lifecycle project management experience in engineering, diagnostics, medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech.
- At least 1 year experience in clinical biomarker or in‑vitro diagnostic development, companion diagnostic development, analytical/clinical validations, regulatory submissions, instrument/systems development, or program management.
- 1 year experience in a regulated industry (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 9001).
- 1 year experience collaborating with external partners on communication, timelines and performance alignment.
- Experience creating and maintaining comprehensive project schedules using MS Project, Smartsheet or similar platforms, proactively identifying schedule risks and driving corrective action.
- Master’s degree (preferably in Life Sciences) and 6+ years in project management/engineering/business in diagnostics, medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech, leading product development and care projects, or a Ph.D. with 3+ years project management experience.
- Prior 3 years in clinical biomarker or in‑vitro diagnostic development with regulatory submission experience.
- Proficiency with Agile and hybrid delivery models using JIRA, Azure Dev Ops (ADO) or similar tools, adapting ceremonies and workflows to regional and regulatory needs.
Hybrid position: on‑site presence required at the Oro Valley, AZ campus approximately 2 days per week. Relocation assistance is not available.
SalaryBase salary range for the primary location (Tucson, AZ): $87,900 – $163,200, based on experience, qualifications and geographic location.
