System Administrator, High Performance Computing (HPC) – P2 Senior Analyst
We are seeking a Senior Analyst (P2) for High Performance Computing Administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. The role is onsite in Tucson, Arizona, with relocation support provided to eligible candidates.
Pay Range: $66,000 – $130,000 per year.
Responsibilities- Work as a team member in a fast‑paced technological environment.
- Help develop and implement new technologies based on industry best practices.
- Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve moderate‑scope technical problems, including integration of HPC hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Understand software tools, automated scripts, batch schedulers, hardware, and system‑level troubleshooting to lead and support the engineering community.
- Perform OS tuning to maximize performance on HPC systems and standardize processes across DT functions.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance.
- Provide documentation and training on advanced HPC processes; mentor junior team members.
- Obtain DoDD 8140/8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) and operating‑system certification within six months of hire.
- Bachelor’s degree (STEM preferred) or minimum 2 years of relevant experience; alternatively, 6 years of experience if no degree.
- Active U.S. security clearance (Secret) and U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience managing Windows and/or Linux server environments, directory services, and system hardening.
- Experience maintaining medium‑sized Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Experience with HPC scheduling and monitoring tools (SLURM, Grid Engine, Ganglia).
- HPC experience in Linux environments.
- Project leadership, management, or project‑management experience in a DT domain.
- Advanced scripting experience.
- Active DoD Top‑Secret clearance.
- Hands‑on Windows and Unix security hardening and authentication service integration (LDAP).
- Experience in complex UNIX/Linux/Solaris environments.
