General Summary

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who is interested in providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services within a clinic setting to clients ages 2-18 diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and/or related disorders. The BCBA will plan, develop, and monitor treatment and provide consultative services rooted in evidence-based practices. The BCBA will collaborate with families, team members, stakeholders and is responsible for supervision and ongoing training for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT).

Job Responsibilities
  • Function in a supervisory capacity and provide clinical oversight and supervision to all areas of programming including the training of Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavioral Health Technicians.
  • Assist in the development, facilitation, and training in ABA, using both discrete trial training and natural environment training models of teaching.
  • Provide ABA based training to caregivers and support generalization of skills learned in the clinic setting. This may include providing training in the home, school, and community from time to time.
  • Coaches team members on how to develop proactive, strength-based, family centered, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Behavior Support Plans for children and families receiving services.
  • Create ongoing data collection system to establish baseline and programmatic efficacy for all consumers, and to analyze data on a frequent and ongoing basis to guide programming.
  • Conducts norm-referenced and criterion-reference assessments (Vineland, VB-MAPP, PEAK, AFLS, etc.).
  • Meet as needed and/or required with supervised staff to discuss ongoing consumer issues and to provide support when necessary.
  • Review and sign off on treatment plans and behavior support plans written by Behavior Analysis Trainees.
  • Sets discharge criteria for service and supports a generalization plan.
  • Serve as a liaison to the families of the clients and provide frequent check-ins to ensure their satisfaction with the quality of services being provided.
  • Completes progress notes using the appropriate codes in Electronic Health Record (EHR) within 24 hours of service.
  • Provides consultation to members of the Child and Family Team (CFT) regarding behavior intervention strategies.
  • Trains CFT how to implement teaching strategies.
  • Provides mentoring, coaching and supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians.
  • Assists in the development of supervision protocols in line with the standards set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Keep current with the literature, new research findings and resources. In addition, continuing education courses to maintain BCBA certification are necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education – Master’s degree in a field related to Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Experience – 1 year as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (preferred), 3 years experience working with children and/or adults with autism spectrum disorders or other related disorders.
