What you will do in this role:

  • Monitor patient safety by performing checks, observing for contraband, assessing condition changes, and providing one-on-one or line-of-sight supervision as directed.
  • Assist RN with delegated tasks such as vital signs, specimen collection, documentation, patient education, and monitoring.
  • Manage the milieu effectively to promote positive patient experiences.
  • Escort patients to meals, outside breaks, visits, and appointments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Experience in a psychiatric healthcare setting, working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or geriatric patients preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, favorable MVR, and proof of insurance required when using personal or hospital vehicles.
  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) required within 30 days of employment and before patient contact.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
