Spanish Speaking Behavior Technician

Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism. You will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

We are seeking candidates who are patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team environment. We provide comprehensive training so you are equipped to help each child, even if you don’t currently have experience. Some days may be physically active as clients move, so you should be comfortable standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and at times carrying children or objects up to 50 pounds.

• Work one-on-one with children with autism under the supervision of a BCBA.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans using evidence-based techniques.
• Teach communication, social, and activities of daily living skills.
• Monitor and document progress, and adjust strategies as directed.

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and a TB test (if not current within the last year).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Additional qualifications (not required): Experience as a Behavioral Technician or in roles involving children with autism or other learning disabilities (e.g., Teacher’s Aide, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide).
