Our psychiatric inpatient social services team coordinates therapeutic services and supports children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and substance abuse issues, promoting symptom reduction and increased coping skills.

Location:

Tucson, AZ – Salary: $48,259.30 – $58,705.67.

• Conduct social history assessment of patients through observation and patient/family interview.
• Coordinate and plan programs and activities to meet patients’ social and emotional needs.
• Promote recovery, symptom reduction, and achievement of the highest level of social functioning.
• Provide crisis management and hold family sessions to help families understand implications and complexities of life situations.
• Assist in developing effective treatment plans that apply therapeutic principles appropriately while ensuring safety.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to discuss patient assessment, treatment plan, and ongoing discharge plan.
• Communicate or aid family members in understanding and supporting the patient.
• Manage a caseload and assume responsibility for patient chart documentation.
• Facilitate education, process and support groups, and referrals as requested.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic, professional attitude toward patients; address complaints and prioritize patient safety.

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW).
• Valid fingerprint clearance card.
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric or substance abuse settings preferred.

Shift: Day shift – available weekdays and weekends as needed.
