Histology Associate; 2nd Shift

Overview

Currently I have an opening for a Histology Associate located in Tucson, AZ (Oro Valley area).

• Supports the functions of RTD histology laboratories in the performance of routine histo-techniques.
• This is an essential position supporting the organizational goals requiring attendance on weekends, holidays and during emergency or exceptional conditions.
• Histo-techniques (Tissue Sectioning and Staining)
• Demonstrates foundational histo-techniques of embedding, microtomy, cover slipping, processing and primary staining.
• Operates laboratory or manufacturing equipment.
• Receives detailed directions on all work. Follows standard operating procedures.
• Monitors and prepares bulk reagents.
• May assist in preparation work for moderately complex techniques under the direction of more senior histology technicians.
• Maintains Right to Operate and ensure that all processes are performed in a safe and healthy manner;
  Addresses and escalates any potentially unsafe hazards;
  Timely reports safety hazards, incidents and near misses using safety reporting tools.
• Navigates and understands the quality system and escalate issues.
• Accurately performs tasks in a regulated environment (OSHA, NMPA, FDA, etc.).
• Performs and documents all transactions and production instructions with accuracy related to the proper receipt, quarantine, storage, and disbursement of materials as it relates to FDA, OSHA, QSR, ISO, Good Manufacturing Practices and other Roche policies and procedures.

• HS Diploma, GED, Associates, or bachelor’s graduates are welcome to apply.
• Must have 1 year of experience in histology – required!

• 12-month contract, with potential for extension/conversion
• 2nd shift hours: M-F, 2pm-10:30pm
• Pay: $25-28 hourly (W2), depending on experience level
