General SummaryA psychometrist, working under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, primarily administers and scores psychological and neuropsychological tests. They play a crucial role in supporting the diagnostic process by providing data on cognitive abilities, personality traits, and academic skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Administering and scoring standardized psychological tests.
- Builds rapport and credibility simultaneously with members. Relates to variety of individuals with warmth, empathy, and acceptance.
- Observing and detailing behavioral observations to help the psychologist/diagnostician complete the patient’s evaluation.
- Conducts educational activities that promote understanding of treatment services, including therapy, behavior management, psychiatric evaluations, medication, diagnosis, and parenting skills.
- Understands human development, family life cycles and demonstrates application of this knowledge in assessment and diagnosis.
- Proper billing and coding for insurance payments
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Attends all department staff meetings, participates in the process of improving admissions procedures, and in assessing quality and effectiveness of diagnostic services.
- Participates in in‑service training and other educational opportunities as required and as time and resources permit.
- Potential for provision of additional clinical services based on expertise and interest (i.e., delivery of evidence‑based interventions including behavioral therapy and parent training)
- Assists with crisis intervention techniques.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
- Responsible for following any policies, procedures, and controls established by the organization, the HIPAA Privacy Officer, and/or the HIPAA Security Officer regarding access to, protection of, and the use of the PHI.
- Other duties as determined by the Vice President of Clinical Operations – Specialty Services or Chief Medical Officer, in accordance with the general nature of the role.
- Minimum
Education Required:
A bachelor’s degree in psychology, behavioral sciences, or a related field. - Minimum Experience
Required:
2 years’ experience in behavioral health. Bilingual (Spanish) required. - License Requirement: N/A
- Preferred Experience:
At least two years of experience working with individuals with ASD preferred. Knowledge and/or experience with implementing behavioral assessments, specifically ADOS‑2 is preferred.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Able to pass 5 panel drug test & submit to regular screening
- Valid AZ DPS Level I fingerprint clearance card (must maintain valid card throughout employment)
- CPR, First Aid, AED certification, if required (must maintain throughout employment).
