Location: Phoenix (85007) & Tucson (85714) – 100% On-site Compensation: $18.50/hr Type: 8-Week Contract-to-Hire (Must be able to start on 2/9/2026)

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for public service? We are seeking 20 Eligibility Specialists (5 in Phoenix, 15 in Tucson) to support various public assistance programs. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring that members of our community receive the support they need through accurate and empathetic fact-gathering.

This is an expedited, 8-week contract-to-possible hire opportunity. We are looking for reliable individuals who are ready to jump into a fast-paced environment and transition into a permanent career.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for applicants, guiding them through the eligibility process for public assistance. Accuracy, integrity, and communication are the pillars of this position.

Eligibility Review: Analyze applications for various public assistance programs to determine if applicants meet the necessary criteria.

Interactive Interviewing: Conduct fact-gathering interviews with applicants and recipients to verify household information and financial status.

Quality Control: Meticulously check application forms for accuracy and ensure all required documentation has been submitted correctly.

Proactive Follow-up: Reach out to applicants as needed to resolve discrepancies, gather missing information, and ensure files are complete.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all interactions and decisions in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable with high-volume interviewing, and possesses strong attention to detail.

Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; experience in social services, customer service, or administrative data entry is highly preferred.

Communication Skills: Ability to conduct "interactive interviews" and explain complex program requirements to a diverse population.

Logistics: Must be able to work 100% on-site at the Phoenix or Tucson location.

Availability: Must be able to start on February 9th, 2026. Rapid onboarding is required.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
