*** Pima County's Finance & Risk Management Department is seeking a dynamic, motivated part-time intern to join their Internal Audit – Procedures and Training Division. The successful candidate will work as an intern assisting in evaluating and documenting processes and internal controls for County Departments. Duties may include performing financial data analysis; examining compliance with relevant laws, regulations, contracts, grant terms and bond requirements;

and reviewing internal controls for computer software used by County departments. They will work as a member of an internal audit team under the supervision of an Internal Audit Supervisor or Internal Auditor II. This internship position is in-person and in-office.

* Minimum Qualifications:

**** Recent graduate from or currently a sophomore, junior, or senior at an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, business analytics, or a closely related field.*

Preferred Qualifications:

*** Pursuing a bachelor's degree (or higher) in accounting or finance.
* Current junior or senior enrolled at an accredited college or university, or have graduated from an accredited institution within the past twelve (12) months.
* Cash handling, accounts payable, or accounts receivable experience.
** Selection Procedure:*
* ** Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications. Preferred Qualifications . The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Additional assessments/testing may be required as part of the selection process.

Some positions require a valid Arizona Class D driver license at the time of application or appointment. Failure to obtain / maintain the required licensure shall be grounds for termination.
