Vice President of Finance & Accounting

Pima Federal Credit Union in Tucson, AZ seeks a full-time Vice President of Finance & Accounting. The role leads accounting and finance operations including balance-sheet management, financial reporting, budgeting, and control systems. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, positive outlook, and share the credit union philosophy of "people helping people".

The VP will oversee the accounting and finance teams, provide recommendations on budget preparation, income forecasts, and operational changes that positively impact the organization. The position requires coordination with management to ensure accurate and proper reporting throughout the organization.

• Lead accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with GAAP and credit union regulations.
• Manage balance sheet, produce and maintain financial reports, and implement comprehensive controls and budgets.
• Provide strategic recommendations on budgeting, forecasting, and operational changes.
• Coordinate with management for accurate reporting across the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• 5+ years of financial institution experience, with at least three years as Controller or equivalent in a financial institution.
• Experience with automated general‑ledger systems, budgeting, financial statements, and investments.
• Five years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and credit union regulatory and tax reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau.
