Accounts Payable Clerk II

Overview

Performs clerical accounting duties requiring analysis and individual judgment.

• Reviews, verifies, and corrects voucher entries.
• Processes sub-contract and purchase order vouchers, while verifying liability compliance and any potential overbilling of the contract.
• Prepares multiple payment groups for weekly payment processing.
• Knowledgeable in electronic payments such as ACH and credit cards.
• Provides vendor account backup to field personnel.
• Knowledgeable in Sundt s interfaces for sub-contracts and is able to verify and correct discrepancies.
• Knowledgeable in legal and company requirements for payment and record keeping of sub-contract and purchase order billings.
• Perform vendor account audits as needed.
• Any other tasks as assigned.

• 2+ years  data entry and telephone communication.
• 2+ years  experience in accounts payable.
• High School Diploma, Associates preferred.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs and Adobe Acrobat programs.

• Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
• Will interact with people and technology frequently during a shift/work day.
• Will lift, push or pull objects up to 50lbs on an occasional basis.
• Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day.
• Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors.
