Event Coordinator, Entertainment & Gaming

Position Overview

The Tucson Racquet & Fitness Club is seeking a highly motivated and organized Events Coordinator to plan, manage, and grow our events program. This role is responsible for coordinating in‑house events, including birthday parties, member gatherings, and special celebrations, as well as developing new opportunities to enhance our community offerings. The Events Coordinator will also oversee booking talent for our popular Friday Night BBQ Live Music Series, ensuring engaging entertainment for members and guests.

• Plan, organize, and execute in‑house events such as birthday parties, special events, and member functions,
  focusing on member engagement and retention

• Manage event logistics, including scheduling, set‑up, vendor coordination, and post‑event evaluation.
• Cultivate and secure new events that align with the TRFC’s mission and community engagement goals.
• Coordinate and book live music acts for the TRFC’s Friday Night BBQ and other entertainment‑based events.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, entertainers, and local Tucson organizations.
• Work closely with TRFC management and staff to ensure seamless event execution.
• Monitor event budgets, track expenses, and provide recommendations for cost‑effective solutions.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to members and guests.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in event planning, coordination, or hospitality management.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and negotiate with vendors.
• Familiarity with entertainment booking and live event coordination preferred.
• Established local Tucson connections with venues, vendors, and talent are a plus.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required by events.

• Competitive salary range of $45,000 – $50,000 per year.
