We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Test Systems Engineer to support the design, development, and integration of advanced mechanical and electro‑mechanical test systems. This role supports production environments requiring high accuracy, reliability, and strong multidisciplinary engineering skills.
QualificationsCandidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.
Responsibilities- Research, plan, design, and develop mechanical test systems, including vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and electro‑optical test equipment.
- Integrate, validate, and verify test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements.
- Evaluate production test setups and recommend design modifications to improve performance and eliminate malfunctions.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of engineering experience
- OR an advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical design and/or production‑support engineering experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with CAD solid‑modeling and analysis tools, with emphasis on Pro/E / CREO Parametric.
- Experience with geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance analysis.
- Experience generating mechanical drawing packages.
- Experience designing mechanical and electronic packaging.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Windchill, cPDM).
- Experience with cable design, including CREO Schematics.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, especially for conveying complex technical topics.
- Experience working across multiple teams, sites, or contract boundaries.
