Designs, develops, builds, and implements new products, components, or technologies for Caterpillar Fleet Products including but not limited to Command for Hauling, Dozing, Drills, ADS, Safety and other related products.

* What You Will Do:

*** Researching new materials and competitive products. Organizing, coordinating, and executing the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes.
* Assisting supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and supplier performance. Overseeing the efforts of drafting and testing specialists.
* Developing and documenting functional requirements and translating into detail design documents. Participating in buy-build analysis for product components.
* Participating in and supporting proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports.
* Requires a degree in accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

* ** Product Design and Development:
** Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
** Consideration for Top Candidates:
*** Experience with CREO – Cabling/harness Tool, Electrical Harness/Cable Routing, Electrical Drawing Creation, or related experience.
* Experience with CREO – Sheet metal, solid modeling, contouring, light fabrications drawing creation, or related experience.
* Teamcenter Vis Mockup experience or Workflow Experience
* ELI or ELE Schematic experience
* Familiarity or experience with Caterpillar Products
** Additional Information:
*** The primary location for this position is Tucson, Arizona with alternative locations in Mossville, IL.
* Domestic relocation is available for candidates willing to relocate to Tucson, AZ.
