The Systems Engineering and Test Center (SETC) organization is currently hiring a Systems Engineer II to join our Tucson, AZ location. SETC is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to design, develop and test to shape innovative solutions for our customers. Join our organization and experience the Systems V engineering life cycle while interfacing with a variety of engineering disciplines, subject matter experts, chief engineers, chief technologists, the customer, and so many more to ensure we design, integrate, test and strengthen our systems to work the first time and every time for our warfighters!

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on an effectors project pertinent to the systems lifecycle.

What You Will Do

In this Systems Engineer role, you may support the following types of activities:

  • Core Systems Engineering:
    Update, develop, maintain, and improve requirements, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces.

  • Perform Test Planning:
    Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments and perform/execute the testing

  • Integrate Systems:
    Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.

  • Create/modify documentation in support of reviews associated with formal testing, which may include Test Readiness Review (TRR), Consent to Ship (CTS), and Test Data Review (TDR) packages.

  • Perform Platform Integration, Flight Test, Qualification, Design Verification Execution

  • Troubleshoot and Analyze:
    Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.

  • Document and Communicate:
    Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Perform Data Analysis:
    Conduct statistical and numerical analysis test data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.

  • Present Findings:
    Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers.

  • Drive Performance:
    Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues.

  • Decision analysis & Resolution:
    Conduct trade studies and present results to stakeholders.

  • Support Missions:
    Travel as needed to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
