- Develop and maintain, review and approve special packaging instructions and drawings meeting Military and Best Commercial standards: MIL STD 2073 and ASTM D 3951.
- Create, maintain, review and approve hazardous material Special Packaging Instructions ensuring compliance with applicable hazardous material transportation regulations CFR-49, IATA.
- Develop thoughtful, effective, and innovative packaging solutions to support the preservation and safe shipment of hardware.
- Excellence in written and oral communication. Ability to coherently present ideas and information to senior leaders.
- Actively engage with factory Manufacturing Engineering to develop Tool Design requirements; coordinate packaging fabrication with internal Tool Room or outside fabricators.
- Utilize Creo & PDM to complete and archive Tool Drawings and associated models.
- Typically requires: a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

- Certified in CFR-49 and IATA.
- Experienced in the use of the Joint Hazard Classification, Interim Hazard Classification, MIL-STD-129, MIL-STD-2073 and Special Packaging Instructions.
- Experience with Creo & PDM.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word).
- Additive Manufacturing experience.
- Basic knowledge of tool shop & fabrication operations.
- Experience utilizing RMS Prism & ZITOOL to manage design queue.
- Experience packaging design used to protect delicate missile assemblies.
- Experience in the creation of hazardous material Special Packaging Instructions.
- Excellent Communication and Presentation skills.
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing knowledge.

Employees work both onsite and offsite. The ratio of time onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
