About You
You’re a technical and engineering expert, familiar with maintenance systems and equipment. You bring strong organizational skills, a customer-centric approach, and a positive outlook.
As the Chief Engineer, you’ll ensure maintenance systems operate efficiently to guarantee the safety of clients and properties. You’ll respond to requests, prioritize work orders, conduct inspections, and implement preventative maintenance.
You’ll develop and maintain relationships with property managers, vendors, and department leaders. You’ll also manage multiple priorities and reports, including inventory, records, RFPs, and schedules.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and checking daily operating logs for the central plant, including Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, fan units, and utility meters.
- Ensuring building systems and tenant requests are handled efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Assisting in developing the annual budget and RFP processes for projects.
- Understanding operating procedures and chemical treatment levels for equipment.
- Recommending functions and standards to Property Managers and Clients.
- Supervising contractors and vendors, evaluating work quality.
- Collaborating with property managers and owners on building issues.
- Working independently and in teams on projects.
Qualifications:
- At least 4 years’ experience in building/property maintenance or engineering.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, energy management, and mechanical equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility for on-call emergency responses.
- Training in building operations, NFPA 70E, OSHA 10, LEED, IAQ, etc.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with Central Plant systems including Chillers.
- Universal HVAC Certification.
